Works in Progress
Well, I have given in to parental pressure. My mother wants to me to have my dad's quilt ready for Father's Day. I was planning on giving it to him for his birthday in October. I had all of the fabric and pattern ready, I just needed to start it. Well, now I have. I am going to be making a log cabin quilt. The pattern is from The Teacher's Pets. The jelly roll is Miss Jump's Scrap Bag. I love the richness of the fabrics. I know he will love it. My dad and I are very close. We are so much alike in our likes and personality.
This is my daughter's work in progress. Her favourite thing to do is to take all of the scraps from my quilting room, lay them out on a table and turn it into a quilt. She is very creative. She tried to get her brother to help her but he was a little less certain about it.

Oh please tell her I love her work!! and I love what you are going to make for your dad, he will love it!
Oh Michelle ... the colours and patterns for your Dad's quilt are absolutely gorgeous ... so rich and strong! I can't wait to see the final product and your Dad's beaming face on Father's Day! What a wonderful gift of love. I wonder what the quilt's name will be ...
The fabrics for your dad's quilt are beautiful and I love that touch of blues.
Michelle, you take your time with that quilt, and don't feel "pressured". If done for Father's Day, it is, if not, so be it... I'd still lean towards his birthday... 8-)
Love the fabrics/colors! lovely...
Your daughter is well on her way... 8-)
