Fabulous Friday Finish

This is my daughter's amazing quilt which is why I am calling it a Fabulous Friday Finish. She picked out the colours, fabrics and pattern and sewed it all together. I don't know if I would have been so daring at her age, but she has an amazing ability to see what goes together. This quilt is for her, though I tried my best to take it for myself. She has already started on her next one and has that half way done.

I got my Autumn Moons quilt top done yesterday, which means that I got to start on the quilt with the fabric that my son had picked out for me. I have always wanted to make a quilt with leaves, and I love the combination of it with the quarter circles.

Almost a Full Moon

I have got my top done for my Autumn Moons quilt and am now working on the borders. I so badly want to start on another quilt that I have finally gotten the background fabric for, but this top is so close to being done and I promised myself that I would finish it first. The background fabric was chosen by my son at our LQS last week and the fabric to make the quilt was purchased by my son for me for Mother's Day three years ago. (Thank goodness for blog posts.) I have the flying geese done for the borders, and just need to put together the rest of the borders.

Binding - Slow Stitching Sunday

My daughter made a gorgeous quilt and I told her I would put the binding on for her. I am so amazed at her creativity. As I am putting on the binding I am infusing it with all the love I have for her. This will get finished today and she will be able to use it tonight.

Flying Geese - Friday Night Sew In

I got most of my flying geese done last night for my Autumn Moon quilt. I have the top together now, and just need to put on the borders. I would love to be a flying geese right now; to find a cooler place to be. I also worked on the binding for the quilt my daughter made. I find that if it feels to hot to be outside, quilting inside is a wonderful thing to do!

Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians! We have a beautiful country and I am proud to call it home!
