I have been working away at my Reading Rainbow. It is simple to do but you need to pay attention to how all of the parts fit together. I decided to put one of the sections together to see what it look like and to give myself some motivation.
The thing I realized after I had cut all of the fabric, is that they have variations in colour and that affects how the sections get put together. I tried as best as possible to match colour variations to one another so that in the end it will look cohesive. That's pretty! :0)
Ooh, I love the overlapping effect. Great block, Michelle!
I can see how you would have to choose those overlapping bits to make sure they 'fit' the variations in the fabrics! Whew, a thinking persons quilt project, not just a sew for relaxation in multi chains or triangles!
love the rainbow effect

Very complicated but it looks wonderful:)
Love this ... thanks for sharing ... :) Pat
That looks great! Though I'm afraid I'll have that song stuck in my head all day… "Butterfly in the sky, I can go twice as high…" :-)
