Halloween Totems - Friday Night Sew-In
I had a good sewing evening last night. I worked on my Halloween Totems quilt. The pattern is from M-R Charbonneau of Quilt Matters and is called Modern Totems. It calls for one charm pack and background fabric. I had some charm squares left over, as well as some scrap fabric from when I participated in a Halloween block exchange years ago and thought this would be the perfect pattern to use some of them up. The quilt reminds me of the art I did when I was a kid where you would colour a page with crayons, then put black over and then draw designs into it so that you saw all the colours come through. It was one of my favourite things to do.

Very fun!
That looks like a fun pattern.
I did those crayon & black art projects years ago too! Your quilt looks very interesting. Can't wait to see it finished. Wondering how it will be quilted ....
