If the socks fits it's a labour of love! - On The Needles
I had to buy some new socks for myself this week and found quite a few for 50% off costing me less than 75 cents each. It made me realize and appreciate how much work and effort go into knitting a pair of socks. Much more than the cost of 75 cents. I finished up these socks for my son for Christmas and he loves them so much. I am appreciate too that I have people to knit and sew for who in return appreciate me back. It's definitely a labour of love which I am happy to do!
This is the one that I am working on now for my daughter. She is as bright and amazing as these socks!

Cactus Wreath - Work in Progress Wednesday
I have all the blocks done for my Cactus Wreath and now I need to put them together. Probably my least favourite part about quilting is trying to organize the blocks and arrange them in a pleasing way. I tend to save some scraps or extra bits in case I find I have a few blocks that are too similar.
I have also started working on socks for my daughter. I love the brightness and boldness of the colour. Socks are so nice to work on. Even doing a bit at a time makes you feel like you are getting somewhere.

I had a good year in terms of getting my projects done. I stuck to my objective of focus for the year, and worked on projects until they were completed. I did not start too many new projects and most of those I got done. As always looking back on the year I accomplished more than I realized. I hope to continue that trend this year too!
