Design Wall Monday

Well, I finally got the news on the weekend that I have a new nephew. I have a couple of quilts started for girls, but none for boys so I went through my stash.  My brother-in-law is a firefighter and I found this fabric that I have had for quite some time.

I have enough for the backing and a small border. Then I went on Moda Bakeshop to see if I could find a fast pattern. Which I did. Then I went back to my stash and pulled out a collection of fat quarters I won last year. I also put in some orange. I really like orange. Mixed and matched my colours and this is what I have so far.

I am looking forward to seeing it all together. Check out what others have done for Design Wall Monday.

I love the quilt you're making for your nephew. So bright and colorful. I think I need to use more orange!

What fantastic fabric for a boy - and so fitting given his dad's profession. Great.
