Wildflower Baskets
I had the best time ever last night. I had a mini quilting retreat with my daughter. We worked a couple of weeks ago on resetting up my quilting room so that her sewing table was cleared off from my stuff and we got her fabric organized and her sewing machine set up. Last night was our first test of trying it out. I worked on the binding for my Wildflower Basket quilt and she worked on a quilt she is making for a friend. It was so much fun! I got my quilt finished and she got a lot of progress done on her quilt.
I love this quilt for its colours and smallness. I love trying all different kinds of quilting designs and finding out that I like smaller blocks now just as much as I like bigger blocks. It is going to be even more special to me now because I finished it with my daughter!

Quilt Retreat
I had a wonderful time at my quilt retreat that I attended a couple of weekends ago. I did something I have not done before. I started a quilt from start to finish(quilt top finish). I used the Northern Lights pattern and had all the half hexagons cut out before I got to the retreat. It was neat to see a project done from start to finish but I usually use the time at my retreats to work out the problems and kinks in my projects and I missed doing more of that.
I finally got my Calendar quilt sewn together as well.I kept trying to make it perfect and changing my mind about which fabric should go were for the borders, and having it at the retreat forced me to just get it done with whatever I had brought.
I also worked on my Snowmen Star quilt and figured out what I was not liking about it. Once I figured that out I was back to sewing on it.

Slow Stitching Sunday - Wildflower Baskets
I am working on the binding today for my Wildflower Baskets quilt. I got the sleeve and binding sewn to the quilt, and now I am working on hand stitching it to the back. I really do enjoy the binding part of it. It is soothing and relaxing to know another quilt is almost finished. I would like to get it done, and then start working on my Christmas gifts.

Friday Night Sew-In - Kaleidoscope
I spent part of Friday night Sew-In assessing projects and trying to organize what needed to be done in time for Christmas. I also got all my rows sewed together for my Kaleidoscope quilt.
I worked out my problem with the sashing and feel great about the way it is looking. I need to add on the top and bottom sashing border, then I have one other border to go around it and it will be complete. This one I will treasure for years to come since the fabric was given to me by my son.

Autumn Moons
I finished my Autumn Moons and I am so thrilled. It is one of my favourite quilts, and I do realize that I say that every time I finish one. I really like it too, because it is one I stuck with and got finished rather than letting it sit around for a long time.
This is definitely a keeper for me and having it finished motivates me to get my other quilts finished as well.
